ECIT'94, the European Conference on Iteration Theory was held at Opava, Czech Republic, August 28 to September 3, 1994. It was the tenth in a series of conferences on iteration theory which started in Toulouse in 1973. The next conference will be held in Urbino, Italy, September 8-14, 1996.
The main topic of this Conference is, as in the previous ones, to stress the interaction between one part of the theory of Functional Equations and one part of the theory of of Dynamical Systems. Both have a strong intersection, mainly concentrated in the Iteration Theory.
The participants were 45 mathematicians from 11 countries: Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Tunisia, USA. They presented total of 37 lectures. Among the topics treated were:
From 37 lectures, 21 are included in these Proceedings. Furthermore we included the contributions presented at a special session devoted to problems and remarks.
